Restaurant Style Chicken Nachos

Chicken NachosFor this snack, you will need:

2 cloves of garlic
6 green onions
3 tablespoons canola oil
1 can of Werling & Sons canned chicken
1 cup of salsa
12 ounces (1/2 bag) tortilla chips
1 8 ounce package of shredded cheddar or Monterey jack cheese
1/2 large tomato

Start by crushing your cloves of garlic, dicing up your tomato and then slicing up all the green onions. Proceed to preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

While the oven warms, toss in your garlic and white parts of the green onions with canola oil in a 12-inch skillet and continue to stir until it’s all tender. Then mix in canned chicken and toss the whole mix until it is all well coated with oil, adding salt and pepper to taste. Last, stir in the salsa and let it all combine and warm for a few minutes.

Once you’ve completed the mix, arrange the tortilla chips on a large baking sheet. Take the chicken mixture and pour it over the chips, covering it with your cheese, tomatoes and salsa. Bake the tray of nachos in the oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted enough for your liking, and dress with fresh green onions to add a fresh crisp crunch before serving to your guests.
